What is L-arginine Magic?

L-arginine is an essential amino acid. It is a building block of protein. It is made in great abundance from the dietary intake... when we are younger. It gets        progressively lower as we get older.

L-arginine is otherwise referred to as l arginine, arginine, arginin and so on...

L arginine is one of the supplement that lower blood pressure.

L-arginine is useful in so many, very important activities in our body... that you will learn about shortly.  Most importantly, it is very essential in the production of Nitric Oxide ...  (NO)

Nitric Oxide (NO) is made through a complicated process.... greatly simplified in    the following explanation.

Larginine is a raw material, and the protein building block, that reacts with a special enzyme called, Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase (eNOS) for the Nitric Oxide (NO) to be manufactured from the larginine... inside the endothelium... the inner lining of the blood vessels.

As described above, arginine is a precursor of Nitric Oxide, which is composed of one molecule of Nitrogen and one of Oxygen.

Nitric oxide is one of the molecule that signal very important functions in our bodies, such as:

  • Regulates the oxygenation of the cells
  • Promotes the flexibility and elasticity of an artery, thereby lowering the blood pressure
  • Erectile functions in men.... and other important functions.

There are still more to be learnt from the current and the ongoing larginine research.

What is L-arginine Used or Good for?

There are several health benefits of L-arginine, the most common usages or what its used, or  good for.... essentially...  14 Major Facts or Purposes for Arginine...!!!

  1. Hypertension
  2. Heart failure
  3. Erectile Dysfunction (ED)  /  Impotence
  4. Body Building
  5. Burns
  6. Claudication... poor blood flow
  7. Chest pain (angina)
  8. Diabetes maintenance and control
  9. Blood flow enhancement
  10. Infertility
  11. Protein Malnutrition
  12. Urea Synthesis disorders
  13. Pituitary disorder diagnosis
  14. Excessive Lysine intake.

Keep in mind people take lysine ... an amino acid for treating and / or preventing, the outbreak of cold sores and genital herpes.... herpes simplex, herpes labialis,  a viral infection.

Sometimes, there may be too much of Lysine in the body, either because of additional oral use and / or application directly to the skin ... or both.

Excessive amount of Lysine or l-arginine, is not good. We have to strike a balance to prevent unwanted side effects.  Please discuss with your doctor.

The commonest dose of L-arginine 500mg...  is used for different ailments, and this dosage can be increased in various numbers from 500 mg to  sometimes 8 grams per day, under the care of qualified medical practitioner.

Also as explained earlier, it is better to have this natural supplement in a "sustained release" form in order to keep it longer in the system (our bodies) for it to give all the wonderful health benefits.

Having a sustained released larginine, will also help you reduce the amount of pills / capsules you need to take daily and allow you to concentrate on other important aspects of your activities of daily living.
